Speaker’s Profile: 

Teenager on Cuba Street

M.F.A in photography, Maryland Institute College of Art.

Photography studio teacher at The Field School 1990-present and Director of Photoworks, Inc. at Glen Echo Park, a photography education center.  Teaches darkroom classes and content classes: “Silver Print”, “Towards a Personal Style”, and summer youth classes at Photoworks.

Recipient of Tufts University Art Teacher Award, Maryland State Arts Council grant and most recently 2010 Excellence in Teaching Award from CENTER in Santa Fe, NM.  Member Multiple Exposures Gallery, Torpedo Factory, Alexandria and Society of Photographic Educators.

Recently self-published her first photography book,  “Cubans: Watching and Waiting”.
