Geoff Livingston: “Lessons from Cuba: Seven in 10”

Geoff Livingston will discuss his recent trip to Havana with six other DC photographers that helped produce the book, Cuba: Seven in 10 (www.facebook.com/cuba7in10/). He’ll discuss how he was able to produce the large amount of quality images in just five days, including:

  • Repetition of routes
  • Preparation (kit and technique)
  • Commitment to timing
  • Breaking away from traditional photo routes and images

The presentation will be a great opportunity to learn about travel photography and to acquire tips on how to make the most of your next journey. Geoff will also discuss working with other photographers – including unwritten rules of respect– and creating a photo book after your trip is completed.

Geoff is a professional photographer in the Washington, DC area. Geoff’s fine art photography has been juried and accepted by the Art League, Exposed DC, and Del Ray Artisans into several exhibitions. His photography and photographic insights have also been featured in UK Magazine Digital Photographer, the Huffington Post, and Digital Photography School.
