SUMMARY:September 2020 - Monthly Meeting + Virtual Competition
DESCRIPTION:The IPS Season 20/21 opens on Wednesday\, September 16; 18:15 PM. \nKevin McDonald is our guest speaker/judge for the meeting. Kevin is the Digital Strategy Assistant at Glenstone Museum in Potomac\, MD. His day-to-day work includes photography\, editing\, and social media management for the museum. Prior to working from home as of March 2020\, most of the photography on Glenstone’s Instagram page was taken by Kevin. In 2018\, Kevin completed a Master’s in Applied Anthropology at the University of Maryland\, where he focused his research at the intersection of people\, plants\, and museums. He is an avid amateur photographer\, and his work has appeared in Atlas Obscura\, Maryland Milestones’ annual calendar\, and his photography for Glenstone has appeared in The Washington Post. \nFollowing our tradition\, the September meeting has “People” as theme – please upload your photos (max 2 images per member) by Saturday\, September 12 at latest.
