DESCRIPTION:The International Photographic Society (IPS) of (Bank/Fund) is pleased to present a Two-session workshop by Ron Aira (CDIA) on Flash Photography Training. \n\nDates: March 23rd and 27th\, 2017 (6:30pm-8:30pm)\nLocation: IMF HQ2-01A-280A+B\nFee: $50 (IPS members); $90 (non-members\, includes annual membership)\nMaximum participants: 20 (first-come\, first-served)\n\nThe non-refundable fee is due by March 16\, 2017 (make the check out to ‘IPS’ and send it to IPS Treasurer Aung Win\, Room: IMF HQ1-4-712). Attendance will be capped at 20 participants\, first come\, first served. The workshop is open to all Bank/Fund staff/consultants and their families. \nEquipment requirement: any camera that can be set to manual controls (aperture\, shutter speed\, ISO/ASA) \nTo register: email Jerry Pullan (jpullan@imf.org) \nAbout the Workshop: \nSession 1: \n\nWhat is Flash?\nLearn to use flash to your advantage:\nOpening up your dark background\,\nWhy should I use flash indoors and outdoors?\nUsing Flash as fill light and not main light.\nHomework Assignment\n\nSession 2: \n\nCritique\nWill go over homework\nCorrect and add to use of flash\nAdvanced flash techniques\n\nAbout Ron Aira: \nRon Aira is a commercial photographer based in Washington DC.  His work has appeared in Glamour\, Essence\, Forbes\, Time and Newsweek to name a few.  He works on advertising campaigns for agencies and corporations from billboards to annual reports. \nHe approaches photography with a unique vision and a passion for detail. Whether he is on location or in the studio.  His love for photography does not stop with his clients.  He is passionate about his personal projects as well. Creating stunning images from his travels\, from Matadors in Spain and Colombia to gipsy circuses in France.
