SUMMARY:IPS Monthly Meeting – May 2020
DESCRIPTION:Monthly Meeting – May 2020 \nEIC Theme: Open Theme \n\nEach member can submit 2 images (and not 3 as per previous practice) for this competition – the submission method\, image requirements\, and file name remain the same as for our EIC monthly competitions.\nDeadline for submission of images is midnight on Saturday\, May 23. Please note\, using the online format\, we will have additional requirements for handling\, posting\, and judging. We ask for your cooperation on submitting the images by the mentioned deadline – as we will not be able to include images submitted at a later time/date.\nAlan (competition judge) will have access to the images prior to the meeting; both in order to expedite the reviewing time and preparing comments for the images. During this review\, Alan will only have access to the images (photographers’ names will be deleted from the file names). Alan will know the photographers’ identity during the awards section of the meeting.\nThe link for the online competition will be circulated next week via email.\n\nJudge: Alan Sislen \nAlan Sislen\, who lives in Bethesda\, Maryland\, has been an avid photographer for more than 50 years.  Landscape photography is his passion\, although he has he has extended his “landscape sensibility” into architectural subjects as well.  Alan has photographed extensively in the United States\, as well as France\, Iceland\, Ireland\, Italy\, Canada\, England\, Chile\, South Africa\, Botswana\, Namibia and New Zealand.  He is a resident artist at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria\, and a juried member of Multiple Exposures Gallery. Alan is an award-winning photographer and a well-recognized speaker and photography educator.
